Here's my pitch.

I will make your company better.

In the last 4 years, I’ve tried and failed at starting 4 different businesses. Through that process I have gained skills, knowledge, endurance, humility. Through the ground-up designing of multiple mobile apps, making product and promotional videos from scratch, hundreds of cold calls and cold knocks, writing business plans, and forming pitch decks, I have learned how to adapt and problem solve in a way I could not have without the experiences of my last 4 years. I have also learned how much I enjoy design as I have spent many thousands of hours learning and putting to use the many product and graphic design skills I needed to start a business.

Here is what I can do and have done already: I can design responsive mobile apps from wireframes to the app store using Figma and Illustrator. I can build micro-interactions and animations in After Effects using Lottie to delight users. I can build a 2d animated video from ideation to finish in After Effects. I can design logos and bring them to life in Illustrator. I can use Photoshop to do basically anything Photoshop is capable of doing. I can design and build websites to do anything I want them to with Webflow. I can build web apps with integrated back-ends in Bubble.

And while most these skills are all vital to most jobs in design, I am sure there will be plenty of new skills/programs/etc. that any job will require of me at which I might not be adept. But I spent most of the last 4 years having to learn on the fly and solve problems I had never encountered before.

I can learn quickly, I can adapt, and I can solve problems. After all the failures, successes, and experiences of the last 4 years, I am more confident than ever that I can solve any problem put in front of me, whatever it may be.
